Predictions for 2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I know many people are extremely happy that 2009 is over! There is no doubt that we are in a HUGE TRANSITION on our planet earth; ultimately that will be a very good thing even though it might not seem so at this time and within the next few years. The shift taking place will eventually be beneficial for everyone on the planet rather than for just a few people.

This year I am pleased to say that I am getting out this email in a timely fashion. I am pulling information from many sources including myself. Feel free to share this and pass along this information.

Jose and Lena give personality overleaves channeled from the Michael Material which I teach extensively about in my classes. I believe this information is extremely empowering. Their trends for the year help to guide us all to make wise choices each year. I am paraphrasing most of their information below into a shortened and succinct manner. I am adding my own interpretation to the information as well.

We are moving from a success orientation to a relationship orientation (including relationships with ourselves) at this time on the planet. In Michael terms, we are moving from a Young Soul energy to a Mature Soul energy on earth.

The Role emphasized this year is ARTISAN with a secondary influence of SCHOLAR. What this means is that this is a highly creative year, a year of inventiveness, reshaping and remolding ourselves and our lives. It is a time for destroying whatever is not working in one's lives. One needs to find one's own passion for doing something more creative with one's life on a day to day basis including creating new relationships, family, businesses, the arts and so forth. It's a time to reinvent how we relate to everything including all of the people in our lives. It's a time to find new solutions for problems. The sky's the limit. It's breaking down and restructuring....the phoenix rising from the ashes.

The negative pole for Artisan is deception and illusion so one must be careful not to delude ourselves into thinking we're making progress and changing when we're still stuck in old habits. Artisans tend to not be linear thinkers, so this will most likely not be an orderly year. It could be chaotic as we are making changes. Nevertheless, it is time for people to do something different and to think outside the box.

The secondary influence of Scholar energy has a grounded, stabilizing effect on the Artisan energy of this year. Scholars like to gather information, be pragmatic (an especially good thing this year), do a great deal of research and generally analyze information carefully before making decisions.

The goal this year (the goal is what we are all striving for) is SUBMISSION, devotion to something bigger than we are. It is paired with Dominance. So, we will feel like we want to devote or dedicate ourselves to something positive such as beginning to "walk one's talk", being a devoted leader out in the world or within our family or work situations, wanting to create changes on the planet to a more cooperative society such as the Sustainable Tucson group here in Tucson and those all over the world. There will be a need to be more assertive to get things done so we will slide to being dominant rather than passive.

The mode (how we accomplish the goal) is PASSION which is one of my most favorite ones. The passion mode will drive us with huge amounts of energy to take risks and to open the door to being more expressive. There will be fewer boundaries. So we will find ourselves and others being passionate about one's devotion to causes and changes in our lives and on the planet. Passion is paired with the Reserve mode so one must be careful not to keep closed up and inhibited.

The attitude (how we express the goal and mode) is SPIRITUALIST which is a mystical way of looking at the world, looking at what's possible.....a long range vision rather than looking at what's going on right now. Looking at the grand scale, the big picture. Seeking the truth will predominate. The negative pole is being stuck in one's beliefs. This attitude can produce enlightenment for many people during these times due to the increasing frequency of the planet. In addition, this attitude allows one to have a broader vision of what one wants to create in one's life. However, one must be careful not to slide to resignation (the negative pole) and giving up on what one wants. (an example of this would be thinking that everyone's losing their jobs, so I guess that's the way it is so why bother).

The obstacle (what blocks all of us and is our undoing) this year is one that is very common on the planet, STUBBORNNESS with a secondary of Self-Destruction. Stubbornness is the fear of change. Self-Destruction is the fear that life has no meaning, so what the heck am I doing here anyway. I can't make any sense of it, so the heck with it, I will live hard and die young, etc., etc. I am sure many of you know people who have at some time uttered those very words at one time or another and perhaps even at this very moment. Obviously, this attitude can lead to addictions and substance abuse (self-destruction). So, it is IMPERATIVE that we all retain a peaceful attitude no matter what is going on in the world. By being peaceful, you draw peace unto yourself. I strongly suggest that upon awakening each morning you repeat the following words: I AM SAFE AND DIVINELY PROTECTED AT ALL TIMES. Do not get angry no matter what is happening in your life or in the world. That anger will draw more of what you do not want to yourself.

The centering for the year (how we respond to events) is MOVING which impels us to action. People will feel restless, will want to get up and do something productive. This, in fact, will turn out to be one of the most productive years of our lives as we launch ourselves into new endeavors. Obviously, it's a high energy year, finding what you have passion for and actually acting on it. The part of center is the emotional center. Actions will bring up a lot of emotions, so people will tend to act and then be moved by how they are feeling rather than thinking. It's not a particularly rationalize year as in years past, so watch out for impulsive energies. Dancing and other physical activities that engender feeling are productive ways to handle this type of energy.

The basic needs for this year are ADVENTURE (travel, doing things), COMMUNION (being with like minded people) and EXPRESSION (the desire to express one's passion) are what most people will seek.

The element of FIRE (inventions, earth changes) is prominent. This could be hard on the liver but it's great for manifesting what you want in your life.

So to sum up the trends this year, it will be an amazingly creative year focused with passion most likely leading to some pretty incredible technologies, inventions and discoveries. Thinking of how this could help the planet and everyone on it. Things will actually get done because it's a make-it-happen year. It's truly a revolutionary year. Be careful to stay balanced in your life through physical activity, yoga, tai chi, meditation, etc.

It's a year of questioning everything including our values.....as a society as well as the educational, medical and other systems. The times will demand radical changes not little ones. Out with the old and in with the new. Changing the rules of how things work. Breaking free! Personal transformation is accelerated, more than ever before.

CHINESE ASTROLOGY - THE YEAR OF THE TIGER

"The Chinese year begins on Valentine's Day this year, February 14, 2010. This is a fast paced year for all signs of the Chinese zodiac. People need to take extra care in planning and thinking all projects through. Drama, intensity, change and travel are the keywords for 2010. Unfortunately, world conflicts and disasters tend to feature during Tiger years so it won't be a dull year, that's for sure.

The Year of the Tiger will bring far reaching changes for everyone. New inventions and incredible technological advances have a good chance of occurring. For all of the Chinese horoscope signs, this year is one to be active.....seizing opportunities and making the most of our personal and very individual talents. Everything happens quickly and dramatically in a Tiger year.....blink and you could miss an important chance of a lifetime!"

ASTROLOGICAL INFLUENCES FOR THE YEAR

REMEMBER THIS: astrological influences can be significant or not. Astrology does NOT control us but is merely indicative of trends, that's all. Obviously astrology is significant; otherwise we would not bother. Nevertheless, I always go by the 80/20 rule with astrological and psychic predictions; 80% of the time, something DOES happen, favorable or unfavorable. 20% of the time, NOTHING happens. So, please don't forget this because it pertains to this entire email!

Right now Mercury is retrograde until January 15th at which time it goes direct, it's normal motion. When Mercury is retrograde, it is NOT a good time to sign significant documents. All forms of communication can break down....it's not uncommon for computers, telephones and so forth to have problems during this time. Travel can potentially be a problem as well.

Mercury retrogrades three-four times a year three weeks at a time. Mercury retrogrades the following dates throughout this year:

April 17/18 - May 11th

August 20 - September 12th

December 10 - December 29/30

Mars is currently retrograde (it does so every two years) until March 10th. Mars has to do with action and energy, so one must be careful of anything mechanical that one buys at this time or that was made during a Mars Retrograde (very hard to know). I wouldn't want to start anything new during a Mars Retrograde, if I could help it, because Mars is not operating at full capacity, so things might not move as quickly as they should.

Venus Retrogrades from October 8 - November 15. Venus retrogrades every two years as does Mars. Venus has to do with love.......I would avoid beginning a new relationship during a Venus Retrograde, and I certainly would not make a commitment nor get married during this aspect. At this time, people born from March 18 - 26, June 18 - June 26th, September 20 - September 27, and December 19 - December 26th have had a fairly rough year in 2009. These difficult aspects will be continuing through September of this year off and on. Of course, one would have to look at an individual chart to see the extent of the "damage control".

What is happening for these people is that currently Saturn is in the early degrees of Libra but is being squared (a difficult aspect) by Pluto in Capricorn, so that Saturn is squaring Pluto, a fairly difficult aspect for people born at the beginning of Libra and Capricorn. Then on April 8th - July 21st, Saturn retrogrades back into Virgo, hitting people born at the end of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius because Uranus is opposite in Pisces at those degrees making life somewhat uncertain for these people. On July 22nd, Saturn goes into Libra for two years.

In addition, on May 29th, Uranus goes into Aries with Jupiter by its side. Throughout the summer, all hell could break loose in the world because many major planets are forming extremely volatile aspects to each other. So, I guess we will all wait and see how things unfold!

People who were born with their Suns in Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn are certainly in for some interesting times the next couple of years. Those people who are turning 29 or 58 (first and second Saturn Returns) these next two years will have many interesting changes in their lives.

However, when all is said and done, I, personally, believe all change is ultimately good change whether we view it as so at the time or not.
